We understand that life and busy schedules can be unpredictable, and that on occasion a conflict may arise that forces a client to cancel their participation in a Magnum Excursions program. However, once you register for a program and pay a deposit, we hold that spot for you and plan for your participation. We make decisions and logistical arrangements based on the number of registered participants, we may incur financial costs and commitments in advance for your participation, and we have administrative costs in processing and managing your registration. Therefore, when you cancel your participation, it represents a loss to us, and we have to implement a sliding refund scale based on the amount of time we are left with to attempt to fill an additional vacancy on a program caused by a cancellation.

Some programs will have a modified cancellation and refund schedule or may be non-refundable. In these cases, the cancellation and refund policy will be noted in the pricing information on the relevant program’s page on the Magnum Excursions website and will supersede the schedule below. Please review the pricing information on the relevant program page on the Magnum Excursions website to ensure that you are aware of the policies that apply to the program for which you are registering.

If you must cancel, Magnum Excursions needs written cancellation notification. All cancellations are only effective once confirmed in writing by our office.

A non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot for all Photo Workshops and Safaris.  Please note that the initial deposit is 100% non-refundable. For payments made after the initial deposit, Magnum Excursions LLC will retain the following percentages of the money paid.

  • Your initial deposit is 100% non-refundable
  • If you cancel 181 days or more prior to the program start date, Magnum Excursions will retain your initial deposit plus 25% of additional invoiced amount paid
  • If you cancel between 120 and 180 days prior to program start date, Magnum Excursions LLC will retain your initial deposit plus 50% of all additional invoiced amount paid
  • NO REFUND will be provided on cancellations made within 120 days of the program start date

Please note: For personal convenience, some clients make payments in excess of invoiced amounts. Except as stated above, Magnum Excursions LLC will refund 100% of these excess payments made beyond the invoiced amounts.

Please note: All refunds are subject to commission and/or bank charges.

Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended to enable recovery of deposits in the event of a need to cancel participation for medical or personal reasons covered by the policy.
